The new generation of wooden watches look great and will certainly turn a lot of heads. They are ideal for people who are looking for an original and environmentally friendly accessory. These designer watches break the barriers of traditional watchmaking practices and are conceptually more and more original.
You can be sure that your watch will be unique, with no other model resembling it. Each watch is an original creation with a shade and a grain of its own. The darkness of its shade depends on the climate, and other local conditions, of the specific place from where the wood originates. Moreover, wooden watches are hypoallergenic and very comfortable to wear.
Try one on and you will be convinced!
Rustic-Tac's wooden watches are splash-proof and can be worn in light rain without any problem. In fact, you don’t even need to remove them when you wash your hands.
However, wearing your watch in the shower or while swimming is not recommended. Even though many models have a Water Resistant or 3ATM rating, they should not be submerged in water. The mechanical parts are protected but the wood tends to expand when it comes in contact with water.
Rustic-Tac wooden sunglasses feature Category 3 polarized lenses and provide protection from UVA and UVB rays. They have spring hinges for comfort and come with a beautiful wooden case.
Rustic Tac lenses are the perfect filter for most sunny situations. These sun lenses filter out 83 to 92% of the sun's rays, so you can count on excellent protection from the sun's rays and glare during most of your outdoor activities. Category 3 polarization is the highest allowed for driving.

This is always a tricky question to answer.
If you consider creation, design, and materials as all being parts of the manufacturing process, then our wooden watches are a sort of global collaboration.
Our founder, Jocelyn Brunette, is the creator, designer, and innovator of the vast majority of products offered at Rustic-Tac. However, some international suppliers and local artisans also contribute to our line of products.
The different types of wood we use come from Canada, Africa, India, and Asia. They have all been tested and treated, by our team, to withstand the harsh Quebec climate.
The mechanical parts for our watches are quartz based and come from Japan. Some are from Myota, and others are manufactured by Seiko. Both companies are renowned in the global watch market.
The cutting and assembly of these parts are done in Asia so that we may obtain the best possible production prices while maintaining our high standards of quality. The whole process is carried out in close partnership with our founder.
We are proud to say that ours is the only wooden watch repair shop in Quebec and that we can repair any wooden watch, regardless of the brand. In this same workshop, we also offer personalized engraving.
Mechanical movement: A mechanical watch is driven by a winding mechanism, a spring, and gears. Some mechanical systems may be self-winding.
Quartz movement: A battery produces a current which causes the quartz crystal to vibrate. The time can be displayed either by means of hands (analog) or by liquid crystal (LCD).
Depending on the type of movement, the accuracy varies:
